Psalms 84:11

the LORD bestows favour and honour;

no good thing does He withhold

from those whose walk is blameless."

Our Heavenly Father's best . . . In His perfect timing & rest

We were looking ahead to move downtown nearer to our children's primany school for about 8 mths now.....Many locations which we thought were good or perfect came and went (Sembawang cell ppl would probably know!!) as the price was simply too high in this current market. We had to work very tightly within many constrains such as COST, best time & availability to change/join schools, location near mrt, timing to secure THE right tenant for our current flat @ right price, right location for kids, etc, etc.

In fact on the recent places that we did not get, we were very much disappointed. I actully voiced it out to HIM (with some amt of disgruntle of course) And his Gracious reply was:If you really want it, I can probably make it happen for you, but its really not the BEST. Can you trust me for the BEST?

The rest is history....we thank God that in his perfection we can rent out our flat at the right price (within 90 mins of open hse on Sat) and we have gotten the PERFECT place @ the right price. (the very next day !! Sunday). The reason I am taking time to share the whole episode is encourage us all to really stick it in with GOD and trust Him for his goodness and grace that He really wants the very BEST for us all....But being the gentlman HE is , he does not have control unless we can surrender, learn to trust HIM. However to do so, it is really when we have experienced and have a on-going relationship with HIM then can we have the confidence & strength to take the step of faith.

Go ahead, explore GOD, get so Soaked up with him & EXPERIENCE HIS ABUNDANT LIFE FOR YOU !! Because it is really is in HIS so Amazing Love & plans for you to prosper, be in good health & enter His REST !!

Overseas Scholarship

Jason Lau (in uniform, 2nd from right), at the Istana for the Scholarship presentation. His proud father, Lui Meng looks on from behind.

Jason Lau was presented with an SAF Overseas Scholarship at the Istana on Wednesday, 6 Aug.

The SAF Overseas Scholarship is the second most prestigious after the President's Scholarship.
Jason was awarded a scholarship to study sociology at the University of Warwick, UK and is expected to leave for his studies in September this year.

We thank God for His favor upon Jason and his family for this scholarship. The Lau family is very unique as the whole family has a strong background in government services. Priscilla, Jason's mother, is currently a teacher-counsellor at a local school; Lui Meng, his father, was a technical teacher and previously served as an army officer. Jason's elder brother, Jamin, is with the Navy and was also awarded an SAF Scholarship to study in the UK. He is currently on a home attachment program with a local SAF unit for the duration of his study vacation, and will return to continue his studies when term begins again at the end of the year.

Thank You Jesus

Last Sat, 7 Jun, i borrowed my neighbour's truck. While loading our book shelves etc it started to rain. The truck has no cover. I want to thank the Lord that it only rained for a while and esp so when i have to drive from Woodlands to Serangoon. Wish to say thank you Jesus.

Bro Nelson's Testimony

I want to Thank God for His love & mercy. My family and I want to thank Senior Pastor Nicholas, Senior Associate Pastor Theresa, Asst. Pastor Daniel and Brothers and Sisters of The Way Church for praying for me.

I went through a successful operation on 15 April 2008. My first operation was in 1987 which was a heart-by pass operation. At that time, the doctor told me I would live for 10 years but by God's mercy and grace, I have lived for 22 years and still going on. This operation the doctor told me it will last for 5 years but I believe it will be longer by God's grace too. God send me the best specialist to operate on me. The Lord's timing was just right as the doctor - Dr. James Tan, an expert urologist who is a Christian and attends New Life Baptist Church, said it was the right time to remove the left kidney which had a 6.5 cm tumour with cancerous cells surrounding it while they are in tact.

Thank God for His protection upon me.

Glory, Honour & Praise Be Unto Him.

It is still under construction...SO Stay tuned for our GRAND OPENING in JUNE!
Remember, its On The Way....

U.O.I.G.D

I thank God for the change in atmosphere in the classroom I'm working in. I'm sure it must be God's move!

When I first started at this school last year, working with children 6-9yrs old (P1-3), everyday after lunch, they came back to class for meditation as a way of calming them down for the afternoon period. The teacher would set up a table at the front of class with a piece of glass that had the word "Peace" on it and lit up an incense stick. Then the children would each have a meditation mat and they were to sit in a yoga posture with eyes closed to "meditate" (supposedly).

I had been very uncomfortable with that but I usually do not stay for that part as I work half days. On days when I had to stay back to help, I'd just read them a story. Strangely, at the end of last year, the teacher I was working with, unexpectedly quit. It really came as a surprise to some of us coz she was very thick with the principal. However, she was getting quite pressurized as several parents were raising issues with the principal regarding the progress of their children under her instruction.

Anyway, we got a new teacher this year. She is young but has a heart for the children. I told her about this meditation thing and that I wasn't comfortable with it. So I asked her how she felt and if we could put the whole incense paraphernalia away. She was glad too! So at the start of this school year, the children stopped the "new age" meditation. The teacher just played stories on audio for them. Then just a week ago, we had a speaker, Greg Biddell at our church here who spoke about the biblical aspect of health and he brought some books and CDs to sell. He said it was annointed music that could be used in hospitals, schools, exercise classes, etc. Right away I thought I had to get it for my class. So a few days ago, I brought it in and the teacher used it and liked it very much.

Praise God now we have annointed music that will truly calm the children. I do believe God's spirit will move in the midst of these 19 children in my class and overflow the school (touching even the principal who professes to be Buddhist). Also a few weeks ago we went on a school camp, some 50+ children. We went to a very quiet monastic town run by Benedictine monks (catholics). Although this is a catholic instituition, it opened the eyes of many of these children who have never stepped inside a church, not seen a priest and have only heard about God or Christianity spoken negatively.

Amazingly when we were there, the guide who took us on the town tour told the children to look out for the letters (U.O.I.G.D or something like that). It represented the latin phrase translated to mean " In all things may God be glorified". The children then went on to ask what does glorified mean? I believe the children's spiritual awareness have been raised to know that God is present. I'll pray that these children will continue to seek and to know the true God who loves them.

With love,

Vera's Testimony / Encouragement

From: Vera Lim
Date: Fri, Apr 11, 2008 at 5:50 PM

Early last year, I was rearranging the furniture in my house to accomodate for a class I have been teaching every Fri afternoon when suddenly I heard an inner voice that said, "you could have a powerhouse here." Almost immediately I pushed the thought out of my mind. Some months later, the thought came again and again I blocked it out. I even consciously stopped myself from sharing with Connie about this as I feared she and Chandra would persuade me into service (they have a gift in that area too, amongst many other gifts ).

I conveniently went about my life as usual, until I was back in S'pore and being ministered by my church family back there. Just before I came back to Perth in January this year, quite a few of them purposefully sought the Lord for a word as a gift for me. (It was the most special present I've ever received!) Amongst them was a word from John 10: 1-30 about The Shepherd and His Flock. I actually went up to this brother and told him I wasn't sure what he was trying to tell me since it wasn't just a word, more like a chapter. Josh (the bro) said to me, "Basically, the Lord has something planned for you to do this year, do you have any idea what it is?" Right away the thought of Powerhouse came to mind. However, I went ho hum, er ahhh and answered, "well, maybe, but not sure." Also among many other words of assurance and encouragement, another one stood out. It was my Pastor's wife who distinctively gave me, "the aroma of Christ" and "the Fragrance of life".

I returned to Perth and started to ask the Lord to speak to me clearly. I didn't want, impressions, i didn't want to second guess through situations. I want to See His purpose and Hear His Voice so I can be clear about my obedience to Him. Throughout the weeks I kept hearing or reading messages that pointed to being available to God, all He requires is our willingness to avail ourselves, Jesus will equip those He calls.

Lo and Behold, Chandra comes to Albert and then to me (hear the voice!) about the need(see the purpose!) to open another home for Powerhouse. By then I knew my only response had to be "Yes Lord, and thank you, Lord for this opportunity."

To wrap this all up, the Lord gave me another message to seal it in my head that I am hearing Him. When Pastor Cara prayed for me last friday night, she used the words "shepherdess" and "fragrance" which were the words specially given to me some months ago in S'pore by Josh as well as my pastor's wife.

So this is how I am beginning another chapter of my walk with God. Though my legs feel wobbly, my heart pounding hard, I hear him say, "my yoke is easy, my burden is light".

with love,

Words given for The Way Church

A few weeks ago, when Pastor Dexter spoke in our church, there were prophecies given by our members and also Ps Dexter for the church to "Arise and press on!" "River of life flowing" "Arise and shine! For the glory of Lord is on us!" IT was a truly extraordinary experience, the spoken word of God effecting our lives and church!

Then, last week as I was preparing the worship list for yesterday's Sunday service, God brought such a stirring within me to pen down what He wanted our church to know about the more to come in this season of new wine. As I started to write, more and more came from the Lord and I couldn't stop writing until it was all over, these are the words the Lord gave to me for our church,

"The Way Church, I have done a work so quickly in you. Do not be contented with what you have now but strive on for greater things, I have MORE for you. I will be bringing upon you a greater outpouring of My Spirit. Wait for it, for when it comes, foundations will be shaken, blind eyes will start to see, the skeptics will cease and the church will see My glory in the work of My Hands. I say to you "Call unto Me and I will answer you, and show you even greater and mightier things that you have not yet known!"

This is so exciting! Church, believe and receive all that God is saying to our church. Something greater is coming, and it's coming to fulfill a purpose God has intended specially for The Way Church. Let's flow with the Spirit in this new move God is doing in The Way Church. It's revival time! Don't miss the wave! The Time is NOW! Arise and Shine for the Light has come, for the glory of the Lord is on you! We will not stand aside and be spectators but we will hear and listen and obey in faith what God needs us each to do. It'll be something massive, and God wants us to claim it because He has given that to you for the church. Do not fear, for the LORD is always victorious in battle and with His right hand He will bring us through gloriously!

Let's move with the Spirit to the next level God wants to bring us. Let's enter the promise of God for us!

Arised and moving ahead,
joshua

From Michele and Francis

We praise and thank God for taking care of our family thus far with a wonderful church here in Tallahassee. Especially for his protection whenever we travel and the opportunities to see new things here.

We also want to thank God for protecting us as we were on Tornado watch a few weeks back and it missed our city, hitting some cities west of us. And a week later, it missed us again, hitting a town just east of us. There were casualities. We really are so grateful as the houses here are not equipped to handle tornadoes.

They are made of wood and we are on the 2nd floor (the highest). Should a F5 tornado hit us, the entire roof can fly off and hiding in the bathtub may be our only chance
but it may not even be enough. What's worse was it was night and you cannot see a tornado coming. The kids were all sleeping and you cannot drive out. The only way was to hide in an inner room without windows if you do not have a basement. Hence, we really praise and thank God for His mercy!

Basically, it's tornado season for 1st half of yr and hurricane season for 2nd half of yr. It's a really amazing country but they are so many natural weather calamities and it's a constant lookout. Like in the north, it's chaos with the heavy snow now. It can be tornado watch now, but tomorrow, it's desert heat.

In all cases, we praise and thank God for His protection on us always.

Also, thank God for extending our lease without penalty for another 5 months. The practice here penalty for a short extension. All our friends in other apartments has to pay 20% more for their extension. But, by the grace of God, the management extended without penalty and at same rent. Otherwise, we will have to shift out and source for new place and pack, etc. Cannot imagine that. Praise the Lord. Thank you God.

Also, we know you are always behind us and we thank you all for always keeping us in prayer.

God makes us smile!

Blessings come around! You give and God gives back to you. Albert, Caitlyn and I were taking a walk (our feeble attempt to keep fit!) one evening. At a road junction, we spotted a wallet on the ground. We picked it up (it was a fat one with several bank cards, credit cards and cash) and immediately tried to find a contact number we could call. When we phoned the owner of the lost wallet, he was so relieved and thankful that there were still some honest people around. A few days later, we found in our letter box, a thank you card with 4 supermarket vouchers amounting to $100. We were just doing the right thing in God's eyes, not expecting any rewards but our God is a generous giver.

Not just that, a month ago I called up AMEX (American Express) to cancel my credit card coz I haven't been using it plus the times I wanted to use it, shops won't accept it. So when asked why I was cancelling the card, I gave them those reasons. The personnel at AMEX informed me I've been issued a card that is subscription free for life and then he offered me a $50 Harvey Norman gift card to keep my credit card. That was a pleasant ! So just over the month, I've been blessed with these little extras to which I credit them as favours from our loving Father who likes to make us smile.

Experiencing God's Grace and Favor

Preaching on the grace and favor of God is one thing, it is another to believe, claim and experience them tangibly.

In my usual weekday morning routine, I would drive by Thomson Road en route to Hannah's school. Somehow, the traffic condition on Wednesday morning was heavier than usual. Cars were literally inching their way through. And as my car was inching its way and was barely a few meters from the gantry, I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to insert the cash card. Quickly I inserted it into the IU unit. And as the car went underneath the gantry, there was no deduction made and realized that I was too late in inserting the cash card into the IU unit.

I went to LTA office shortly after that and the report was generated as a summon. The fine was $10 on top of the $1.50 which I had to pay for the gantry. In reasoning with the officer, I was referred to a room to make an appeal for waiver of the fine.

Without asking for much details after relating the incident, the approval to waive the fine was granted. All praise and thanks be to God for His grace and favor. In all, it took me less than 10 minutes in LTA to sort this out. That, is a greater miracle...

God's Favour: New Thomson MRT Line!

Praise the Lord for His favour!

As a heavy user of the public transportation system (BUS, MRT, TAXI, but esp MRT and BUS) for the past 40 over years, our Snr Pastor is very excited and grateful about the newly announced plans for a MRT Thomson Line.

According to the news, the government plans to double the MRT network by 2020, with two more new rail lines to be built. One of the new lines is the 18-station Thomson Line, which will travel northwards through the Central Business District, up through Ang Mo Kio and Woodlands.

It will connect estates such as Sin Ming, Kebun Baru, Thomson and Kim Seng.

For Pastor Nic, it means..Sin Ming to the city - 20 minutes, instead of the current 45 minutes. ..its almost as fast as travelling by car.

For all this time, he has taken one and a half hours to travel to church via bus and MRT, but with the new Thomson Line, it will now take him less than half the time.

With this convenient development, he does not have to look for another place more conveniently located to the amenities. He can continue to live in his well-loved home at Sin Ming Avenue.

And even if he decides to move out eventually, he can be sure of an increased valuation of his unit, thanks to the new MRT line. Praise God for His favour indeed!

Our God is Mighty to Save

On Sunday, I shared briefly on Genesis 3:15 "and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" (NASB)

This verse has been termed termed as "proto evangelium" or the very first announcement of the gospel (Good News) to mankind. Through this verse, Eve will bring forth a unique seed, a unique son - the One that will be The Savior of the world. Satan will only succeed in bruising the heel of our Messiah (temporal), but our Lord Jesus will, at once and for all time -crush the head of the serpent - and He did that on the Cross. What a Glorious God whom we worship - One who could see the world that could never made it on its own and will need a Redeemer - a Savior. Jesus was sent to redeem us through the Cross and thus, fulfilling the very Scripture in Genesis 3:15 that prophesied His arrival and purpose. May we be inspired always to share His Marvelous deed for mankind.

Our God is Mighty to Save !!!

Blessings to everyone.

To God be the glory.

On Sunday 27 Jan 2008 whilst praying together with brothers and sisters for those who went forward for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in the midst of worshiping and praying I saw our Lord standing in front of God's people. His presence was bright, awesome and strong. I wept and reverently asked what He wants me to say. I heard the word 'Immerse' and 'Love'. I felt so strongly and shared with the church 'I see our Lord Jesus and He wants His children to immerse in His love"
All glory to Him and Him alone.

Ps Lau Tuck Siong's First Visit in 2008

The Church is blessed with the visit of Pastor Lau Tuck Siong on Sunday, 3 February 2008. The Church has always been blessed with his style of preaching - in simplicity and practicality, and not forgetting a good dosage of humor. Today's message highlights to us of the need to focus our attention on the race set before us by God amidst distractions that can easily entangle us.

Pastor Lau who now resides in Australia has come out of Asian Outreach and has formed his own organization focusing on equipping and training of leaders. More info can be viewed at his website here

Guan - God's Favor

I want to thank God for His favor upon me. He is indeed gracious and merciful. I have been praying to God for wisdom regarding the restructuring of one of the sections in my department where we had to outsource the work and as a result we had to find jobs for the affected staff. It was God's mercy that we could keep all the staff, except for one, due to retirement of some older staff in other areas. For this particular staff, I had dreaded to tell him that I could not keep him but I thank God that I did not have to do that. You see before I could break the news to him, he volunteered to accept the separation package and in fact he was looking forward to retire to do some business.

Another demonstration of God's favor was when I had to attend a meeting with senior management regarding some papers which I needed their approval. The Chairman had a reputation of being a tough and difficult boss. There were a number of papers which my department had submitted and I was not looking forward to the meeting. I prayed and I got my kids to pray. I felt I really needed a lot of prayers! I want to thank God that on that day God's wonderful favor was upon me. I did not have to defend too much the papers as he was doing the defending for me! Before the others could say anything, he would say that he agreed with the recommendations; and when others had questions about the papers he would answer their questions! All the papers were approved without breaking a sweat!

To God Be The Glory !!

God Has Supplied !!

In view that the current laptop is longer in usable condition, for several weeks, our members took turn to bring their personal laptop to be used during the church services. Appreciation to members like Wendy Ong who has helped in this aspect.

Two weeks ago, an announcement was made by Joshua in regards to the need the church has for a laptop.

God has touched the lives of 2 brothers (Guan and Mohan) to respond to the announcement and both supplied a laptop each. On behalf of the church, we would like to extend our appreciations to both the brothers for responding to the church's need.

Meanwhile, Joshua is in the process of "cleaning" up both the laptops. God bless! ...Daniel Cheang

Daniel - Rock the House V8.1

We thank God for bringing Ps Caleb and Ps Debbie in our church on Sunday, 20 Jan. Part of their trip here is to teach us some hip-hop dance steps which our participants truly enjoy. What do you mean "hip-hop" dance - in church? Yes, God is the creation of all things on earth - and there's a need for the church to re-capture what the devil has taken for his own use. And this is just one step towards a long journey to reinstate the art culture for God.

God bless,

From Elizabeth

Hi, I wish to share a miracle that God has done in my colleague (Wendy)'s son. I remembered that during the last week of 2007, I shared something on my colleague-Wendy. Her husband's health (cancer and has 6 months to live according to doctor) and also her 1 year old son's kidney problem.

God has done His first miracle on the boy...He was diagnosed with an expanded kidney which he had undergone some tests (tubes and x rays etc). Doctor then said that the 1 yr old boy may have to go through an operation to correct the problem. Wendy's family was anxious and sad. I told her that I would pray and will have the church pray about this as well.

This morning, Wendy came over to me and thanked me for our prayers coz the test result was well. She was so excited and happy. She told me that the doctor mentioned this as a miracle. Though the swell on the kidney is still there, doc says it will heal by itself and no ops needed and next review is in 1 years time. Praise be to God!!! Miracles do happens!!

I believe God will bless another miracle on Wendy's husband. Please pray together with me for his health and the salvation of the family.

On Behalf of Sis Eileen

We thank God for an immediate answer to our prayers for Eileen's friend, Cecilia Lim. Eileen shared about Cecilia's medical condition (auto immunity) which requires her to go for dialysis. This was shared on Wed night prayer meeting, 9 Jan. And today, 10 Jan her doctor classified her fit for discharge tomorrow and no further treatment is required. Praise God for His mercy and healing upon Cecilia.

Pastor Daniel on behalf of Sis Eileen

From Pastor Daniel

Last year, I requested the Prayer group to pray that I may find a Pastors accountability group that i can be part of. On Tuesday, 8 Jan 08, I received an invitation to join a pastor's accountability group that is being set up. Praise God for giving me this opportunity to share my life with pastoral peers.

Pastor Daniel

From Pastor Daniel

Following my mom's death, my dad requested my family (Evan, Hannah & myself) to follow him to Australia for a Christmas break. I could not accede to his request as December is generally a busy period for church planning and furthermore, we had not financially budgeted for it. He said that he would like my family to join him for a trip during the Chinese New Year season. Understanding that he would like to have a part of the family with him during CNY, I told him our family will to join him.

In the back of my mind, I knew this will be a financial constraint for us as I have committed to a lump sum of our finances towards the building fund, but nevertheless I prayed and commit it to God. I prayed that some how i could receive a partial subsidy to accompany my dad.

And behold, I received a call today that my family's entire trip will be fully paid for. No one knew our financial constraint, but God is our Provider. Thank God for His provision.

Pastor Daniel

From Joshua Sim

I had a torn/damaged tendon behind my right knee that cause great pain every time I bent down/squat and got up, so pain that I stopped using my right leg and depended on my left leg to do all the lifting. I consulted the doctor 1 week later, and he confirmed it was a either a torn or over-stretched tendon which will self-heal itself but will take 4 weeks.

I went back home got my family to pray (skye prayed) and in 2 days the pain left! Amazing! I myself was so amazed at that the 4 weeks I had to struggle through became 2 days! PRAISE THE LORD! Indeed God is showing me that HE HEALS supernaturally. There is nothing my God cannot do!

I had some hang-ups on healing, and I've been seeking God on this matter. In the last few months and with this experience, the hang-ups are gone! Glory to God! Praise God!

From Gloria Lee

To Senior Pastor Nicholas Pastor Daniel Members of The Way Church

My mum wishes to Thank God for protecting her when she fell on Oct 11. The Lord has been healing her right wrist bone and is recovering well. I want to Thank God for keeping my parents aunts and I safe and providing our needs throughout 2007.

The Lord Jesus has been helping my pupils throughout 2007.They have improved in their studies. Particularly my PSLE students.

One who is a China pupil skipped level from Pr 4 to 6 has an aggregate score of 237. One is in ACS Independent Sch with an aggregate score of 251. Another I have been praying for her to be in a Christian school and she is in Presbyterian High School. The Lord has answered my prayers for them.

Only a few of u know I am a Bollywood movies fan. I particularly like this Bollywood verdant-eyes actress Aishwarya Rai. In May 2005 I was watching her Bollywood movie over Art Central Channel at 9pm while watching something stirred my heart - the words just appeared - start her fan club pray for her salvation and pray for India. I was disturbed and it took me 4 months to pray over it. I told The Lord Jesus if its not your will then block all avenues and prevent this fan club from starting. The Lord Jesus just open all avenues from reaching the actress Manager to getting her approval to start the fan club.

Pastor Dexter in 1 of the service mentioned God s judgement upon Indonesia Malaysia and India. I was sitting there in the service I then recalled the word - pray for India. That was a confirmation. The aims of the fan club are to pray for the salvation of Aishwarya Rai - we want The Lord Jesus to save her as she is famous and influential The Lord Jesus can use her to win over the people of India to The Lord. Her manager s salvation. The salvation of others and to direct people to The Lord Jesus. We have to do it discreetly. The actress and her manager Simone Sheffield approved the fan club and call us a quality fan club. On 26th Nov 2005 the fan club was born. We have 4 members for a start. Joanne Tay is one of the pioneer member of the fan club Mohan s sister Anuratha my buddy Fenella Tang and I were the 1st 4 members of the fan club.

To date we have 9 members - 7 Christians out of the 9 members - 5 Chinese 2 Peranakans 1 Indian and 1 Malay. 3/4 of the members are professionals in their professions - age range from 31 to 54 yrs old. The fan club members have been praying for Mohan s salvation Mohan s sister s salvation too as Joanne is a valued member of the fan club. The Lord has answered our prayers too for Mohan.

My buddy having gone through a huge financial crisis for the past 2 years - The Lord has finally answered our prayers for her. She is debt free and has drawn closer to The Lord. The Lord has bless her son with an aggregate score of 251 in the PSLE and The Lord bless him with the school of his choice - ACS Independent Sch. One of the souvenir for the members in the fan club is the book - The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. The fan club members are featured in the 1st Indian Lifestyle Magazine in April and in Singapore s New Paper on 21 Dec 2007.

These are all the blessings of The Lord Jesus to the members of the fan club. The Lord s hand has been upon the fan club. We are expecting The Lord to do greater miracles in the year 2008.

Gloria Lee - Chairperson of Aishwarya Rai s (Singapore s Unique) Fan Club

From Charmaine Ho..

I'm not exactly sure how this 10 thousand blessings thing works but I hope that this may be a blessing to anyone who reads. Since I prefer to write in down rather than say it out, so there goes.

This year has been an extremely eventful year for me, with both ups and downs.

Firstly,2007 started very well considering i have completed my A levels (which means i didn't have to study for at least 5 months). So I had a lot of time on my hands to doing everything else except study. During these few months, a lot of my friends were all looking for jobs to earn some money but me, being lazy, just stayed at home and watched lots of shows. But God had other plans. For some reason, jobs came knocking at my door, people i knew, like Aunty Lee Hong, knew that i was free and started recommending jobs to me. I really want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to go out and work and learn how it is like and, of course, to earn some money.

Secondly, I want to thank God for teaching me to trust in him even when everything seems impossible. As some of you may know, i did not do well for my A levels and i was very disappointed with my results because it would be very difficult for me to get into any course that i wanted in the 3 main local universities. Besides, as some of you may know, I did an extra year of JC, so i practically wasted 3 years of my life in JC because i cannot go anywhere with my results. But again, God had other plans. I have come to believe that He planned for me to go to a JC so that ultimately i would have to go to Australia to study. Therefore i want to encourage all of you, to continue to trust in God and seek Him, for He has the perfect plan for you just like in Jeremiah 29:11.

Thirdly, I want to thank God and my parents for giving me the opportunity to go to Australia to study. I also want to thank God for helping me in my studies and for blessing me with very good results there. I believe God knows how much each person can handle, so by placing me in a different education system, He knows I will be able to do much better in my studies. Along the same line, I also want to thank God for helping Amelia for finding a church that both of us can go to and grow in and for Amelia for helping me with a lot of things there in Australia.

Lastly, I want to thank the church, especially the YF, for praying for me for the past few years for my A levels and for my university. Please continue to keep in your prayers as I continue to seek for directions as to what I should major in and as I continue my course in the university in Australia.
