A Word for TWC Teachers

A word of encouragement and blessing for all our teachers of TWC's Children Church. May the Lord continue to add His blessings and wisdom to you as you serve him and minister to the little ones.

"I have appointed you to be guardians to the children. Do not doubt or be double minded of your calling. I will be your Refuge and your Shield. I will sustain you according to the promises that I have said in my Word. I will uphold and deliver you from all snare.

But only keep your heart tender before Me. For it is through your tender heart that I will place My word - My word for my little children in your heart.

My Word will be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path."

Prayer of Blessing

Praise the LORD for His blessings! The following is a recap of the word shared during our time of prayer at a Jan worship service. May they continue to be an encouragement and blessing to you!

To stand – those who are:

1. Breadwinners of your household,

2. Supporting your family financially,

3. Own a business

As the Spirit bears witness in you, receive this word of the LORD for you...

(Psalm 34)

8 Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed are you who take refuge in Him.

9 Fear the LORD, you His saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.

10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

There are some among this group who are facing uncertainties, and even so, you have choosen to live righteously before Him. (The Word of the LORD says unto you...)

15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their cry;

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;
He delivers them from all their troubles.

19 A righteous man may have many troubles,
but the LORD delivers him from them all;

20 He protects all his bones,
not one of them will be broken.

Psalm 33

The word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.

Our Heavenly Father's best . . . In His perfect timing & rest

We were looking ahead to move downtown nearer to our children's primany school for about 8 mths now.....Many locations which we thought were good or perfect came and went (Sembawang cell ppl would probably know!!) as the price was simply too high in this current market.We had to work very tightly within many constrains such as COST, best time & availability to change/join schools, location near mrt,timing to secure THE right tenant for our current flat @ right price, right location for kids, etc, etc.

In fact on the recent places that we did not get, we were very much disappointed. I actully voiced it out to HIM (with some amt of disgruntle of course) And his Gracious reply was:If you really want it, I can probably make it happen for you, but its really not the BEST. Can you trust me for the BEST?

The rest is history....we thank God that in his perfection we can rent out our flat at the right price (within 90 mins of open hse on Sat) and we have gotten the PERFECT place @ the right price. (the very next day !! Sunday).The reason I am taking time to share the whole episode is encourage us all to really stick it in with GOD and trust Him for his goodness and grace that He really wants the very BEST for us all....But being the gentlman HE is , he does not have control unless we can surrender, learn to trust HIM. However to do so, it is really when we have experienced and have a on-going relationship with HIM then can we have the confidence & strength to take the step of faith.

Go ahead, explore GOD, get so Soaked up with him & EXPERIENCE HIS ABUNDANT LIFE FOR YOU !! Because it is really is in HIS so Amazing Love & plans for you to prosper, be in good health & enter His REST !!

Regards,

Overseas Scholarship

Jason Lau (in uniform, 2nd from right), at the Istana for the Scholarship presentation. His proud father, Lui Meng looks on from behind.

Jason Lau was presented with an SAF Overseas Scholarship at the Istana on Wednesday, 6 Aug.

The SAF Overseas Scholarship is the second most prestigious after the President's Scholarship.
Jason was awarded a scholarship to study sociology at the University of Warwick, UK and is expected to leave for his studies in September this year.

We thank God for His favor upon Jason and his family for this scholarship. The Lau family is very unique as the whole family has a strong background in government services. Priscilla, Jason's mother, is currently a teacher-counsellor at a local school; Lui Meng, his father, was a technical teacher and previously served as an army officer. Jason's elder brother, Jamin, is with the Navy and was also awarded an SAF Scholarship to study in the UK. He is currently on a home attachment program with a local SAF unit for the duration of his study vacation, and will return to continue his studies when term begins again at the end of the year.
